Melissa Glick, CEO of Think Network Technologies, received the prestigious Morley Ballantine Award from the Durango Chamber of Commerce. Morley Ballantine was a philanthropist, a business owner, a community activist, and a mentor to many.  She campaigned for women’s equality issues such as equal pay for equal work, protection from workplace harassment, and the right to choose. She was a truly impressive member of our community who has left a lasting, positive impact through all her good work.

The award is given to one recipient every year and is selected by the previous winners of the award. The Morley Ballantine Award winner must exhibit excellence in business, demonstrate initiative and creativity, and enhance the stability and improvement of her community.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized alongside all the other amazing women of the Morley Ballantine Sisterhood.  To me, this award is about confidence.  It’s about finding that confidence within yourself to do something bold, and then helping other women find their confidence.  When you show someone that you think she has value, you can transform her life,” said Glick.

Glick is CEO and Co-Owner of Think. Her 20+ year career includes work across diverse industries including marketing, real estate, and now IT management. Working her way up from receptionist to CEO is a dream fulfilled. Glick attributes her success to a combination of hard work, perseverance and perfect timing. Glick is also Co-Founder of the Professional Women’s Network of Durango. Glick was moved to make a change in her community, so she took action. Five years later, the organization has 400 members and has produced over 50 events with one mission in mind; empowering women to rise and achieve more together. Always building her professional skills, Glick credits past mentors as well as family, in providing her with solid values and strong business acumen.
